Question: Should the U.S. Supreme Court overturn Roe v. Wade and leave the abortion issue to the states?
Will Tyler White:
Overturning Roe v. Wade would be wrong, although it should not have been before the court in the first place. While it is the
least preferable option in dealing with an unwanted pregnancy, abortion predates recorded history and will not be stopped by legislation.
It is not the government's responsibility to make medical judgments. Such a traumatic decision should be left to the woman with
guidance from her doctor, family and faith. The best way to reduce abortions is through education, prevention, and meaningful
reform of restrictive adoption regulations.
